Colorectal cancer awareness month

 i hate thisMarch is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. According to CDC, among cancers that affect both men and women, colorectal cancer (colon or rectum), is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States, but the fourth most common cancer.

    Every year, about 140,000 Americans are diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and more than 50,000 people die from it. But this disease is highly preventable, by getting screened beginning at age 50. Screening will help from preventing abnormal growth in the colon or rectum.

    Only 6 out of 10 deaths from colorectal cancer could be prevented. To prevent colon cancer by making changes in your everyday life. That’s from eating right and make your body stay in shape.  growth in the colon or rectum. Making sure you have somebody by your side through this difficult experience will relieve some stress knowing somebody is there for that cares about you.

    We can use this month to raise awareness about colorectal cancer and take action toward prevention.
