Reagan’s GOP Debate

With 2015 coming to an end and Obama’s last year of presidency around the corner, it has become the beginning to the end of the Obama Administration.

As one president leaves, a new one will emerge. A new president is yet to be determined, but candidates from both parties have interpreted they’re ready for their shot in the Oval Office. Now they might not all agree on the same issues and commonly take punches at one another (metaphorically speaking) but that is what Presidential Debates are for. Presidential Debates like the one that recently took place at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, CA between GOP candidates.

The Debate had many occupants but some shined more than others, such as Carly Fiorina, Jeb Bush and Donald Trump. They addressed not just one another but other candidates as well from their opposition. Especially Hillary Clinton herself, “If you want to stump a Democrat, ask them to name an accomplishment of Mrs. Clinton’s,” -Fiorina. Clinton became a huge topic Fiorina was willing to discuss along with the chiming in of Chris Christie.

Other than attacking the opposition, Trump and Bush often attacked one another. The discussion of money became a topic between the two which they loudly debated about. With Bush stating, “I’m not gonna be bought by anybody!”. And Trump quickly putting his money where his mouth is by saying, “I could have double and triple what he’s got”. Back and forth bittering between the two might just have been the entertainment for that night. But everyone finally got down to business by discussing healthcare, drug laws and immigration plan. Luckily all candidates were able to get their points across and they will have many more chances to. The people have heard what the Republicans have to say, so when will they hear from the Democrats? After all, it is the people’s choice.
